Enterprise search

A Team and Enterprise capability that lets Claude search across an organisation's connected systems rather than only what one person attaches.

Last verified August 21, 2026 · 1 source

Enterprise search is the point at which Claude stops working from what you gave it and starts working from what your organisation has connected.

It is listed as a Team plan inclusion, and carries into Enterprise.

Why it changes the risk conversation

Individual connectors expose what one person authorised. Organisation-wide search exposes what the organisation connected — which means the interesting questions stop being about capability and start being about permissions:

  • Does it respect the source system’s own access controls?
  • Who can see what appears in results?
  • Is the query logged?

On Enterprise the last of those has an answer — audit logs and the Compliance API. On Team it does not. That gap is one of the clearer reasons organisations move up.

What this page does not claim

Which systems are searchable, how permissions are inherited from the source, indexing latency and retention are not documented in the source this page was verified against. Those are exactly the questions a security review will ask, so get them answered in writing rather than from a wiki — including this one.

Plan availability

Anything left blank is not documented publicly, not a claim that it is unavailable. Compare every feature at once in the availability matrix.
